The one with no pet fee at all, the one with a doggie welcome gift, and the waterfront upgrade.

Pet-Friendly Hotels in Tampa ๐จ
Tampa's pet-friendly stays sort into three clusters. Downtown and the water: the Barrymore on the Riverwalk, Embassy Suites by the convention center and the Westin on Harbour Island. This is where you stay if the plan is walking: the Riverwalk itself, Curtis Hixon park and the Sparkman Wharf lawns are all dog territory.
Busch Gardens and USF: Red Roof PLUS+, La Quinta Busch Gardens and La Quinta USF put the theme park within minutes.
The east side: La Quinta Fairgrounds, Hampton Inn and TownePlace Suites serve the casino and fairgrounds, with Homewood Suites toward Brandon and Holiday Inn Express up in New Tampa.
Reading the Pet Fee Fine Print ๐ต
The fee structures differ more than the nightly rates do, and the wrong match costs real money:
- Per night: the three La Quintas charge $25 a night and the Westin $50 a night. Cheap for a weekend, expensive for two weeks.
- Per stay: Hampton Inn ($50), Embassy Suites and Homewood ($75, rising to $125 past four nights) and TownePlace ($150) flip the math: the longer you stay, the better they compare.
- Free: Red Roof PLUS+ charges nothing for one pet up to 80 pounds, which quietly beats everything above for any trip length.
- Weight limits bite. Holiday Inn Express caps dogs at 35 pounds and TownePlace at 25; the La Quintas, Embassy and Red Roof take dogs most other chains refuse.
Every front desk will ask whether it is a pet or a service animal; ADA service animals stay free everywhere, and our guide to Florida service dog laws explains where the line sits. Keep vaccination records handy in your fechPup Pet Passport: hotels rarely ask, but the daycare you book mid-trip always will.
